In this activity your child makes a puzzle that helps her spell and recognize her name.
What you’ll need
- 8.5-by-11-inch white card stock or thin cardboard
- Different-colored crayons or markers
- Scissors
- Large ziplock bag
Here’s how to do it
Have your child write her name across the card stock or cardboard in large letters with a black crayon or marker. To emphasize her name she can make “bubble” or square letters. Then have her decorate the space around her name with different-colored crayons or markers. Cut the card stock into 9 to 12 puzzle pieces. Mix up the pieces and have your child put them back together. After she completes the puzzle you can store it in a ziplock bag for later use.
