What is the Child Care Development Fund?
The CCDF is a federal program that helps low-income families obtain child care so that parents and guardians may work or attend school.
How do I qualify for CCDF assistance?
Parents or foster parents must be:
鈥� working, attending school, have a referral from the Department of Child Services, or have a referral from TANF/IMPACT
鈥� fall within income guidelines
鈥� have proof of identification for all family members
鈥� be a resident of the county in which they are applying for aid
Additionally, children receiving aid must be:
鈥� 12 or younger, unless they have special needs
鈥� a U.S. citizen or qualified legal immigrant

After you have identified providers that accept CCDF vouchers and fit your family鈥檚 needs, complete the pre-application and contact the CCDF regional office.

On My Way Pre-K
What is 鈥淥n My Way Pre-K鈥�?
On My Way Pre-K is a state-run program that provides financial assistance for low-income 4-year-olds to attend a high-quality preschool. All providers are certified at Level 3 or Level 4 on the Paths to QUALITY provider rating system. Families submit their program applications to a lottery system, and if selected may choose from a program that is full-day or half-day, as well as from programs that end with the school year or continue through the summer.

Indianapolis Preschool Scholarship Program (INDYPSP)
What is the Indianapolis Preschool Scholarship Program?
The Indianapolis Preschool Scholarship Program (IndyPSP) is a city-run program that provides financial assistance for low-income 3- and 4-year-olds to attend a high-quality preschool. The United Way of Central Indiana serves as program administrator, and all providers are certified at Level 3 or Level 4 on the Paths to QUALITY provider rating system. Families submit their program applications and are chosen through a lottery system. If selected they must complete the process with The Children鈥檚 Bureau (317-545-5281 or 866- 287-2420), who serves as the intake agent.
How do I qualify for IndyPSP?
Children must be between the ages of 3 and 4 years old, and families must be living at or below 185 percent of the federal poverty level to qualify for the lottery. First priority will be given to children from families living at or below 127 percent of the federal poverty level. Try an to figure if you meet the requirements. Selected families may choose to send their children to any of the approved program providers.
Which one should I apply for?
Families of 4-year-olds will automatically be considered for both IndyPSP and the On My Way Pre-K program without the need to fill out multiple applications. 3-year-olds will only qualify for IndyPSP.
